While the service was fine and the selection fairly good, it might be a good idea to comparison shop if you are in the market for new frames. The shop at the Vision Clinic on Washington Ave. is considerably higher priced than the Eye Clinic of Racine. I just purchased frames at Dr. Savin's Clinic for $259 only to discover - to my dismay - that they were $195 at the Eye Clinic. They explained it away by saying they purchase their frames directly from the manufacturer and not from a distributor. I'm not sure how that might impact the wearability or quality of these frames - I'm pretty sure it won't! - but it definitely impacted my bottom line! Sadly, this is one more area where it may pay to comparison shop!
