Review content:
The Holiday Inn Express in Glenwood Springs is Superior in all areas. The property is modern, renovated, and well maintained. The property is located across the street from the Glenwood Canyon Adventure Park and its Iron Mountain tram. It's an easy walk from the Glenwood Springs Amtrak station. We took the daily 'California Zephr' from Denver. It took less than ten minutes for my wife and I to walk with our luggage to the hotel from the train station. We reserved a King Jacuzzi Suite (The Crystal River Suite) and our jacuzzi suite was superior. The suite's excellent air conditioning is welcomed relief in the middle of summer. The sitting room is large and has a 32 inch color cable television. The jacuzzi is large enough for two adults and works well. The king sized bed is comfortable. The bathroom is large and clean. The bathroom fixtures are excellent. The toilet is excellent. The shower/bath is large. The suite has a mini-refrigerator and a coffee maker. The hotel has four suites and all four are large, clean, and superior to any hotel room in Glenwood Springs. The outdoor swimming pool is clean and well maintained. There's a large jacuzzi next to the pool. The excellent hotel staff bakes several batches of chocolate-chip cookies in the afternoon and prepares an excellent continential breakfast in the morning. Their complementary continential breakfast features hot cinnamon rolls, pasteries, a wide variety of cold cereals, french toast, and waffles, a variety of juices and milks, and hard boiled eggs. Their coffee service is excellent. Their lobby and halls are clean and fresh. The housekeeping staff is excellent. The Glenwood Springs Brewery & Grill, Jucy Lucy's Steakhouse, The Village Inn Restaurant, Little Rosi's Bravarian Restaurant, and The Glenwood Hot Springs/Spa//Retail Shop/Deli & Hotel are all within a ten minute stroll down clean and well maintained city streets. The Holiday Inn Express is an exceptional value. This is a superior hotel. Pros: Large and Clean Rooms, Excellent Jacuzzi Suites, Great Continential Breakfast Cons: The view of Red Mountain was slightly obstructed to the south.
