I moved to Indianapolis and had no idea of where to get my car worked on. Living in Castleton, I stumbled in to the Car-X on 82nd street. These guys are the most honest, efficient mechanics I have ever come across. Driving an older car with quite a few miles, I expect mechanics to throw me everything in the book when I take my car in, with estimates of astronomical proportions. Not these ones! They'll tell me what I can scrape by on, what parts are hanging by a moment, and what DOESN'T need to be fixed. This is good, as I'm a little paranoid about my brakes. Every time I take my car in I ask them to check them out. Every time they haven't needed any work. It's a testament to these mechanics that they're NOT taking advantage of a clueless, paranoid, young lady. Like I've touched on before, I'm accustomed to shady mechanics, but I walk out of this place spending LESS than I had expected when I walked in. They are very upfront about the price, when they give you an estimate, and there are no "surprises" along the way.
