I recently got out of a year long lease with this company, and it was the worst renting experience I have ever encountered. When I first moved in, I noticed the house had not been cleaned or repaired from the previous tenants. The oven did not work, all of the faucets were leaking, the carpet was horrribly stained, holes in the walls, doors missing, etc. I wrote all of this information down on a list and gave it to Elbert, explaining to him that these problems had to be corrected immediately. Of all the problems on the list, one of them was attended to after one week, another the next week, and all of the rest of them were ignored. I repeatedly called the agency to have someone come over and repair the problems, but this never occurred. When the time came to begin preparations to move out, the agency would give approximately one-hour notice that they were going to be showing the house. When I protested this, stating I had work to be done, they told me to simply "blend in." I moved out last week, and even though I had made the list detailing all of the problems with the house the day I moved in, Elbert claimed that I had caused all of the problems and would be taking the repair money out of my initial deposit. I would never recommend Express Realty to anyone, and I will express this view in every way imaginable.
