Awful isn't a strong enough word. I moved from two different places on two separate days and both times they didn't have enough people. The first day took 11.5 hours and the second day 14.5 hours!!!! 9 hours into the move they had not taken a single box out of the apartment and I couldn't move around my apartment or see what was actually being packed. I had people moving in the following day and had very little time to clean up after the move and the movers who left their own garbage for me to clean up. Anyway, they left things behind that I asked them move and it was so chaotic that neither my friend nor I noticed until I started cleaning. I spoke to the owner of the company who gave me sad stories about why they were short staffed and when I told him that didn't explain why they hadn't packed everything, he said that his guys told him that I didn't want them. He also said "shame on you for moving on the busiest day of the year and shame on you for having such a small apartment" the second referring to the strss of my apartment being full of boxes.After two conversations with him the second ended with him calling me a liar. I guess it was so bad he couldn't even believe it had happened. Anyway it's sad for me, but I am writing this so that you don't risk the same thing happening to you.
