Review content:
I have lived in LA all my life and knew about Forest Lawn, but rarely visited. Last week I attended a funeral at their Glendale location. Beautiful service. Every detail attended to. The staff was amazing, kind, and respectful. If I have a loved one pass away, I will definately go to Forest Lawn. Shoot, when I pass away, I intend to go there! Anyway, aside from the beautiful ceremony, the grounds were amazing as well. Lush green everywhere you look, gorgeous buildings, poetic statuary. A true vision of the way a cemetery should look. After the funeral, my friend and I decided to drive around since the place was so nice. We ended up at the top of their hill where they have a museum of all things! Plenty of parking, breath taking views. I had no idea. They had a Matisse exhibit, stained glass windows, and really cool sculptures in the museum. They also have a gift shop inside the museum with tons of cool stuff to pick up as souveniers. I was greated by a girl behind the cash register who was nothing but friendly. She went into all kinds of information about the park since I mentioned we didn't know all the stuff they had. Very cool. I will definately be going back and be tellling my friends to check it out too. There's tons of thing to see and do and it doesn't cost anything. Big thumbs up. No wonder it's been there for over a hundred years. They know what they're doing!
