Review content:
I have never bothered to write a positive feedback letter like this, but my experience at Harvard Square Eye Care was so exceptional that I wanted to let you know how wonderful it was. I started wearing glasses when I was 7 years old, and was teased by my classmates because they said I looked nerdy. So I could not wait to get out of glasses, and when soft contact lenses appeared on the scene, when I was 25, I immediately switched to them. But they are a lot of work, and I have dry eyes, so I started again looking for glasses frames that looked good on me. 32 years later, I have 32 years worth of purchased and then discarded (because they did not look good) glasses behind me. I discovered Harvard Square Eye Care by googling glasses and Best of Boston, so I made the trek over there (from MIT, where I work), walked in, and announced to Clark Goodwin that I was probably on a mission impossible. But Clark immediately showed me some frames that he knew would look good on me, and he patiently customized the lenses so that they were as lightweight as possible (condensed glass), the right shape for my face, and would optimize my vision from very near vision to distance vision. Clark is awesome, very attentive, very upbeat, very good at explaining the technicalities of my customized glasses. I purchased the glasses and picked them up last week. They are amazing! Clark was right on; I look even better with glasses than without now. And my vision, compared to that with my contact lenses, is exceptional. No more reading glasses :-) These glasses are not going to be discarded -- the first pair I' have kept in 32 years. Harvard Square Eye Care stands out for the variety of quality options that one has for eyeglasses, but all the inventory in the world isn't going to make any difference if the service is poor. Clark gave perfect service; it could not have been better. Best of all, he eliminated the tension that I always feel when I shop for eyeglasses. Clark is a treasure; you need to know that. Keep him; he will keep me coming back again and again, as I look at sunglasses and other options available to me to supplement my eyeglasses. Pros: Excellent products. Excellent Service
