Review content:
I have been banking with Wells Fargo for over 10 years. I have made thousands of transactions and have come to know quite a few of the employees by name and have always found Wells Fargo employees as professional and very courteous. Overall, I am very satisfied with Wells Fargo until recently I visited the Wells Fargo branch in Hillcrest. Its one thing when you receive poor customer service from a low level employee. At least there is an opportunity for the manager to step up, remedy the situation and make things right. But what happens when the manager of all people is the source of the poor customer service. What then? That is exactly what happened to me. I went into the branch with my son looking for some presidential dollar rolls. They had 10 rolls available and I wanted four of them. I give them to my kids for their allowance. The teller was happy to oblige but then the manager, Cindy A. came over and refused to give me four rolls of presidential dollars, even though they had 10 available. Come on, as a bank, isn't that what you are supposed to do? I am not sure what kind of power trip she was on, but I did not appreciate being "spoken down" to as if I was a child in front of my own son. I wanted to unleash on her and give her a piece of my mind but with my son right next to me, decided instead to take the higher ground. To make matters worse she refused service to my partner. Her irrational behavior and over protective nature of these presidential dollar rolls made absolutely no sense to me or to others around me. Her unprofessionalism and poor customer service has definitely tainted the reputation of Wells Fargo. And with several banks next to and just across the street from this particular Wells Fargo, why waste your time with this bank. Pros: many locations, mostly professional and courteous staff Cons: Hillcrest Washington St. Manager
