Review content:
I went there this time because my mom took my dog there 2 weeks ago because that is where she takes her dog and it is close. . But, It is all about the money with VCA West Shore. I had just spent $300 for a vet visit for my dog and was back 2 weeks later and they wanted over $500 more. I explained my situation amoung which are my other dog was injured in a near car accident costing $280, my car just came out of the shop to the tune of $1200 the week before and my cat was in for emergency surgery for $236 the week before that - so I was a little strapped at that moment. But since my animals are very important to me I asked if I could pay that in 2 payments, half now and half in 2 weeks, and she said "I understand, but we require payment in full at the time of service". So, in other words, too bad, your dog can die and we don't care because we need to be paid on the spot - not 2 weeks from now???!!! What kind of place would not take into consideration a situation like that and work with you. Only a place that doesn't care about your pet, just about their money. I went there for years before they became VCA. And now I have a difficult situation and they won't work with me on this. Who needs that? I'll continue to go to the great vet I chose after West Shore became VCA - an office where they truly care about all the animals and have a great staff. And I believe if I were in a tight situation they'd be willing to work with me - because they have a heart. Pros: Dr Davis Cons: money hungry and uncaring?
