I've lived in several states and from my experience involving waste management Gulfport Waste Management is lazy to the fact that they cant even pick up a box (empty at that) next to the trash bin. If disposing a box I've been told by the driver it needed to be shredded and put in the container and the lid must be completely closed. Personally I dont see the difference when the lid is fully shut to being lifted a few inches, and I've seen where they wouldnt take the trash (was not picked up) because the lid wasnt completely shut. Plus we were told by the office that our area was picked up on Wednesdays and Saturdays but was only getting one day a week service. Plus there has been times where they wouldn't even take all the trash in the bin, (would leave trash bags still in the bin) what was going on there? Our bin was full (from lack of picking up earlier in the week) so we called them and they said they'll send them back to our area to pick up our trash. Well they never showed and for a fact ( looking at other trash bins) they hadnt even come earlier like they were suppose to. If these guys arent being paid to pick up trash what are they getting paid for, riding around? Overall.... if they are trying to do their job and maybe just understaffed, HIRE MORE.(period)
