Review content:
I was apprehensive about my first appointment with a new doctor, having just moved to this area after 15 years with the same primary care physician, but my concerns were quickly alleviated, thanks to a really great doctor at this facility. What the office staff lacked in friendliness, the doctor more than made up for. Unfortunately, this same doctor moved from here to a specialized clinic. He called personally to let me know and suggested i use one of the nurse practitioners at Prime as my future primary care provider. I was fine with that. Unfortunately--and I take full responsibility for this error--I allowed my prescription medication to run out prior to making a new appointment to have it refilled. My pharmacy contacted the clinic on my behalf over a week ago, but got no response (fortunately this wasn't heart medication or anything else of a life sustaining nature). As I am now completely out of my medicine, I personally called the office again yesterday, as did the pharmacy. I left a message explaining that I am one of their patients who last saw the doctor who left the practice. I offered to come in for an appointment with a different doctor if necessary in order to refilll medication for my stomach and other conditions. No response. The pharmacy however, did receive a response; the refill request was denied based on the fact that my doctor no longer worked there. Keep in mind, my doctor moved to a specialized practice and didn't not take any of his patients with him. I am still a patient of this clinic. They have all my medical records and could have easily made a call on whether or not to refill these prescriptions--even partially until there was an opening when i could get in to see another of their doctors. At the very least, they could have called me back personally to set up an appointment or tell me that I needed to find a new doctor somewhere else. One should expect some degree of professionalism and courtesy, even from a medical clinic.
