So, We drop off 2 matching SCUBA PRO regulators for routine maintenance. The regs come back and a week later we head off to San Carlos, Mexico for a weekend of boat diving in the Sea of Cortez. One of the regs (my wife's) is just fine. My reg is leaking like a bandit where the 2nd stage (mouthpiece) attaches to the hose. FORTUNATELY, there are replacement regs onboard. The owner of the dive operation, however (the actual owner of the shop where I purchased these regs and certified to make repairs), is onboard and does the actual replacement of the O-ring that was butchered. This was the first time since leaving Aquatic Dreams that this reg was attached to a tank and it leaked so badly that it couldn't be used. These regs each worked just fine before we handed them over to Aquatic Dreams but we were a bit hesitant to use them since they hadn't been serviced since purchase approx 3 years earlier. Aquatic Dreams DENIED any wrongdoing, made no attempt to rectify the situation. We went back to our credit card company to dispute and got the owner of the dive boat operation to corroborate our claim. Aquatic Dreams STILL refused to credit us for just the one regulator. I've purchase tanks and other items from them and was about to book a dive trip with them. I will now NOT do ANY business with Aquatic Dreams, even though they're the closest dive shop to me by 50 miles. I cannot recommend them for ANY dive need. All they had to do was apologize and give me a small store credit for the inconvenience of having to have my reg RE-REPAIRED but they couldn't even do that. What a horrible customer service situation.
