Review content:
Pacific Design Upholstery will take possession of your furniture without completing a written contract. It is recommended you formulate a very clear contract/proposal-one which is clearly printed and one which itemizes each piece of furniture and indicates the cost of each job for each piece. Be careful! They will formulate a contract without doing the above and they will also quietly write estimated time for job to be 10-12 weeks and then they will say they don't have time to do the job. They will also pressure you to deliver the fabric immediately--thus locking you in even when they can't do the job for 2-3 months. Be sure to write in contract you want your old cushions and any left over fabric. They will keep these items and possibly use them on other jobs. Be firm! You must insist to understand what the proposal is--confusing words like "bigger" are easily substituted for "taller" and when you attempt to understand they become nasty. Pacific Design subcontracts theiir work without notifying you and without your consent. Pacific Design does not "envelope cushions, does not match stripes on both side of a cushion, cuts seams thin and does not finish seams thus allowing fabric to unravel. If you are interested in having down stuffed pillows, beware! They will charge down prices and sustitute chicken feathers.
Pros: None
Cons: no business license, incomplete contract, refusal to do work once they have your money
