Our lovely golden retriever Sadie is slowing down on walks and will not walk upstairs anymore. I don't mind her aging, but it pains me to see her hurting. Her back and hips are stiff and she winces when approached from the back or side. Clearly she is uncomfortable. Rimdyl helped at first, but does not seem to be providing enough relief anymore. I hate to up her dosage. Dr. Taute suggested acupuncture. Today was Sadie's first session. I would not have believed it unless I had seen it with my own eyes. She was nervous at first, but quickly accepted the needles (and the snacks provided by Dr. Taute!) I could feel her muscles relax under my hands. In minutes she was practically asleep. Afterwards she hopped into the car unaided, something she has not done in months. This Pros: null Cons: null
