Review content:
I had quite a difficult time finding a vet to look at my sick, 6 year old ferret. I was referred to Shively Animal Clinic and Hospital by another veterinarian who wasn't interested in dealing with animals other than cats and dogs. Shively Animal Clinic sees not just cats and dogs, but other animals that people would have in their home. The wait was lengthy but they checked my ferret first to determine if it was an emergency (which would bump her up to the front of the line) and thankfully, it wasn't. Dr. Marsha was very professional and knowledgable. She took excellent care of my ferret and the visit included examining a stool sample for parasites, blood work, a small IV, prescribing medications, high calorie food and carnivore-specific food. Dr. Marsha even called back that same night to share the results of the blood work with me. Imagine my surprise when the bill came out to less than $125! I feel that the peace of mind and the ease on the pocketbook is well worth the wait. Thank you so much for taking care of my ferret!
