Review content:
We stayed for 5 nights in March of 2009 (1st through the 6th). I was a little concerned about reviews I had read referring to poor customer service, inadequate water pressures, rooms in need of updates, location of the hotel on the strip and timeshare personnel. The customer service I received was excellent from the front desk staff to the casino staff to housekeeping staff. Our check-in clerk went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were satisfied and would enjoy our stay at the Luxor. The Players Club and casino staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. We never waited for extended periods of time for drinks or food. The casino was clean and so was the food court. The rooms (we had - a free upgrade on night one due to a computer error and a Pyramid Spa Suite for 4 nights) were adequate with excellent views, good air circulation and great housekeeping services. The furniture was in good condition. My only comment would be that even with lamps on, the room felt dark at times and that hallway carpets may need replaced (at least on the 23rd floor). We had absolutely NO issues with water pressures during our stay and in fact were impressed with the small amount of time it took to fill the spa tub! One downer would be the constant harassment from the time share personnel. Most would leave you alone with a simple "no thank you" but others applied pressure. We found it easiest to not make eye contact, give no verbal response and just keep moving. Unfortunately, you were bothered every time you passed their areas of concentration. We began to avoid certain areas. I've also read reviews about the Luxor's location on the strip. We find it to be perfect - but that is the end of the strip we prefer (the 4 corners). It is not the hotels fault if customers aren't familiar with the strip and hotel locations. Overall, we had an excellent experience, would return again and would highly recommend the Luxor to others who may be traveling to Las Vegas. Thanks to the Luxor staff for their customer service skills!
