Review content:
We have stayed at the Luxor twice. We were first here two years ago and the Luxor was a great place to stay. The first time we stayed in a tower room. That room was clean and modern-very nice. However, the second time we stayed here the room was in the original part of the hotel, the Pyramid. This room was in need of some serious updating. The age of this hotel was evident in all of its decor. The pool was the most modern amenity. The novelty of the whole pyramid thing was neat. Hotel staff was not especially friendly and helpful. One great thing was the entertainment in the Nefertti Lounge. At the time we were there David " The Sax Man" Brown was playing there. This two man group was something special and we enjoyed their music tremendously. It appears since the MGM group bought the Luxor that the changes made have caused prices to increase and service to go downhill. Pros: Great music in the Lounge Cons: Over priced
