Review content:
Terrible. After being in the hospital for over a week the social worker told us that they had a spot for my mom where we had been trying to get her into, Delmar Gardens. The paperwork was sent to them by the hospital, my brother went there in person to see if they needed any deposit and we moved our mothers things from an assited living facility to storage. The next day,Thursday, mom was to be moved by ambulance to Delmar for physical therpy. We got her ready, packing up her few things at the hospital only to be informed that they gave her bed away. They gave us every excuse from "we never received her paper work" to "we decided not to except her". No one can tell you how upsetting this has been to all of us. My brother who has driven down here from Illinois, myself from WI., my 2 sister's who have been helping with moms care for over a year while working full time and my younger brother who has neglected his own business while traveling from one facility to another. It's not like mom could not pay, after medicare is used she would have become a self pay with no problem. This whole situation has caused the entire family a great deal of additional stress that could have been prevented had Delmar Gardens been honest and kept their word.
Cons: Lies told to the family
