I took my Honda SUV in to get an estimate on door damage. Pat, the estimater, told me that he needed to get the VIN number off my car and that he needed my keys and I should go inside and sit down. I obliged. I realized later that what he was doing was snooping through the papers in my car because I had a competitor's estimate in my bag in there. Pat's estimate came in 10 dollars below what the other estimate I had was. The only thing is that the previous estimate was a mistake and the estimater told me that he could actually do it for about $400 cheaper and gave me a written note indicating so. Pat insulted me and violated my privacy by going through the papers in my car. I don't trust them and wouldn't bring my car there. Pros: Estimater tried to dupe me. Cons: Unethical estimater
