Horrible service. My father passed away suddenly and as you can imagine, planning a funeral is very hard emotionally. The lady working the desk at Preston and Simons was very rude and unthoughtful. She showed no compassion or care. My father asked to be cremated, which we did through Preston and Simons. I ordered an urn and was told my father's ashes would be ready in the ern on the morning of his funeral. On the day of the funeral I was given a card board box. To my surprise, when I opened it, there was no urn. Thinking the ern was inside, I opened the box. It was just a bag of ashes. This was very traumatizing. They also asked me if I would like to place an ad in the obituary. I was told the first day was free and it would have to pay for each day after the first free day. I said that I wanted to just place it for the one free day. I later got a bill in the mail for $185. When I called them about the bill she stated "it's no longer free" very rudely. They have left rude messages on my phone, threating to put it on my credit. DO NOT use this company. Planning a funeral is a very painful thing to do and this company will only bring you more grief. If I had more time I would have gone to someone else. I'm VERY unhappy with my service at Preston and Simons.
