Review content:
We have been seeing Dr. Theuerkauf for awhile now, and he just recently saved my dog's life. We thought he had a lump that was cancerous, and Dr. T suggested we remove the lump and scheduled him the very next day. During the surgery, we were called and told that it was not cancer, that my dog had eaten a shishkabob stick and it was sticking out of his side. Had it not been for the expertise of Dr. T and Dr. Malburg, I honestly don't think he would have survived the surgery. They had to suture a hole in his esophagus and in his stomach. We did not care how much we would be charged, but they were very conscientious about the price, we were charged less than $700. for everything. He came home the very next day doing really well. Did I mention he is a 13 year old beagle? As for the review earlier on the Rimadyl medication, I ask a lot of questions when my dog is put on any medication, it is very unfortunate the owners did not ask for the information themselves. As a matter of fact, 3 or 4 years ago, Dr. T repaired Hunter's (that's my dog's name), ACL on both hind legs and he was put on Rimadyl right after. Since he was a puppy he has had high liver enzymes, Dr. T told us about the side effects, but said they would monitor him closely. He had no problems with the medication. I completely trust them with my pet's life, as I feel Hunter would not be here today without them. I cannot say enough great things about them!! Pros: Doctors and staff are the best Cons: very busy, but worth the wait
