Review content:
I have been to spas all over the country and have come to expect a certain level of service and skill level which I base on pricing, combined with a relaxing spa atmosphere. I have found that you mostly get what you pay for. Not at Azana. Looks great on the outside but when you get inside, at least on the first floor you are in a fish bowl, no quiet and no privacy. Hair, Nails, Makeup all in one big room. The Pedicure accomodations were awful! You are asked to climb up on a rizer like bench and put your feet in a small round sink. There are no individual chairs, no way to adjust for your height( my knees, legs and back were aching after sitting for 1 hour) No massage chairs here just a square pillow behind you, and no whirlpoo massage in the foot bowl.. Getting down off the wall with wet nails and slippery pedi shoes on was a real trick. If you are 5ft 6 or smaller with a size 7 or less foot you might be comfortable, other wise no go. The tech did a good to very good job but she was very distracted by what was going on around us and not attenntive to me. The Mani tech was very good but again, uncomfortable chairs and you are right on top of other customers. The upstairs spa where the massage and facials are done is very nice but again staff is impersonal and you just do not get the pampered feeling you go to a spa to get. If I am going to pay the spa price I expect the spa accomodations and service to be reflected in all areas. I can go to any hair salon and get what I got at Azana and pay less.
Pros: Techs have a good skill level
Cons: uncomfortable, impersonal, not a good value compaired to competition
