Review content:
I had been going to Azana for hair and skin for some time. I recently moved my services over for acrylic nails. I've had acrylics for 7 years solid with a minimal time off during a 10 year period when remodeling a home. I hadn't experienced any trouble in over 7 years. With a spot experience in my past. As soon as I transferred over, I had a mold spot on one finger, then two. I was very concerned. The tech told me she wasn't worried about it and that I needed to glue my nails down underneath as maintenance. I was never asked to do that before. From my nails lifting, I had such sharp edges underneath that I woke up one morning with a large scratch across my forehead; most likely from pushing my hair out my face during the night. I went to another salon to have them all filed down and when the polish was removed I had two additional green nails. I went to Vici Cappeli where I had them completely soaked off, removed, treated with bleach, fungal cream, and a cuticle cleaner. (They were knowledgable, welcoming and provided excellent treatments/service.) My cuticles are all green and I have red sores and blisters under each cuticle line; one with a horizontal line down to my knuckle. These appeared when soaking my hands in bleach, which BURNED. I called to speak with the owner of Azana to report the case and request a full refund for the 4 months of service I received. She first stated that the nail tech documented that I came in with a fugus and that she treated me for each week. I suspect that management mentioned it to her when I requested to speak with the owner and did not show for my appointment and she did a CYA. When I informed her that it was untrue and offered to show her my fingers in person. She said well send me a picture. And continued to tell me that once you ever have mold, you always do. And that the red marks underneath are not possible; as if I didn't know how they occured after watching them appear from bleaching. She spoke with the attitude of a 20 yr old, saying whats the problem, thats not gonna happen, what else. I told her I was shocked not only with how the conversation was going, but how she was speaking me as a customer. And told her that if she didn't speak to me calmly and respectfully that I would seek upper management over her. She states, "Ok, you do that. And hung up on me. SHOCKED! She knew that I had other services and purchased products at the salon. I'm pulling all my business. And I'll never recommend the facility to anyone.
Pros: Hair stylist was amazing
Cons: Given a fungus. Horrific service.
