Review content:
I normally don't like to write reviews but feel the need to in this case. We have been taking our dog here on and off for a little over 8 years. The location was just too easy for us to continue to go elswhere. Now I wish I would have gone the extra distance for a different vet. Dr. Payjak is a very nice person who is afraid to give a concise diagnosis. The first sign was about 6 years ago, our dog had a large lump under hs neck which they immediately diagnosed as Lymphoma. Fortunately we took our dog to a different Vet and they diagnosed an infection that cleared up over the next few months. The latest event is a doosy. We brought our dog in because he was lethargic and walking strange. Dr. Payjak diagnosed him with arthritis and gave us a prescription for a bunch of pain mediation costing us about $300 (could have bought on PETMEDS.com for half the price. Unfortunately our dog's condition continued to worsen over the next few days so we took him all the way to Flint to see a friend who is a vet. She immediately diagnosed him with advanced stage of cancer and we had to put him down 2 days later. The sad thing is that Roadside did blood work on our dog in the spring and said his white blood cells were elevated but did not tell us anything further. Had they diagnosed him properly we would have at least known that he had cancer. We went from what seemed like a healthy dog to having to put him down in one week. We will get a new dog and I will absolutley not bring him to roadside. I have spoken with other friends who used roadside in the past and refuse to go back for one reason or another. Good luck getting a diagnosis for your pet. You will just keep paying for exam after exam along with extremely expensive medications.
