Review content:
CMA was a good company when I first got them in 2007. Had great speeds, never had any problems. Fast forward 5 years and their complete and utter rip offs. I pay $80 for 7mbps and 1mbps but since March of 2012, they have had major latency issues. What they call "peak hours" consist of 250-600 ping, 2mbps download and 0.27mbps upload speed. Their peak hours are usually from 10am-2am. So practically experiencing issues for 6 months. I had called them and it turned out they didn't have enough bandwidth to spread across the city but they were going to get more in May. I said fine, I'll wait. May comes around and nothing. June comes around and their seems to not be anymore issues. They received a fiber optic cable which added more bandwidth to the city and of course, made everything good. A month later EVERYTHING started having latency issues again. Was told more bandwidth in August and nothing. Were in September and the latency is worse then what it was in May 2011. I'm getting to the point of frustration. I talk to a lady today and explain the situation...she cannot help me. This company is ripping the city of Pahrump off. No matter what you do, if you switch to lower speeds, your still going to have the latency issues at a cheaper price. They have yet to help out their customers or lower/discount prices for the issues on their end. This is the worst company I have ever been with. They do not help, they are ripping off the customers and their extremely unstable. Whenever they get this new line to open up more bandwidth for the city, I guarantee these same issues will occur again. Sadly this is practically the only cable internet company in Pahrump and one is stuck with them while they live here. So enjoy the high latency issues, have fun trying to play online games with high latency, DNS Issues with the PS3/XBOX, and have fun streaming Netflix with high latency and low upload speeds.
