DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!! I am getting married in Lake George in a few weeks. I stumbled across this shop and met with the owner to set up the appointment for my hair trial and gave her a deposit to hold the day of my wedding. When I returned the following week for my hair and make-up trial with my aunt and bridesmaid, we were met by one of the stylist who did not even greet us but immediately whipped out a checklist and asked if I had oily skin, argued with me about the quality of my face wash, and said in order to wear make-up on my wedding day, I would need a chemical peel. I was appalled as were my aunt and friend. I suggested we skip the interview and work on my hair. The insults continued. As I sat in the chair, I was told I could not wear my hair up for my wedding day as it was too fine, I had to many split ends and my hair is too damaged to do anything with because I wear my hair in a bun. This type of rude behavior continued to the point where my aunt was either going to yell or excuse herself. My aunt actually had to leave my hair trial due to the behavior of the stylist. The worst part is other employees were in ear shot of what was occurring and did nothing to intervene and the owner was present as well. Once the stylist found out that my family was well off, she changed her tune completely which was even worse that they treat people differently based on how much money they think they have. Once the rest of my family and bridesmaids began to hear the story of what had occurred, they all decided not to have their hair done by the salon. I contacted the owner who apologized and had let me know that the girl had been fired. She never even contacted me to let me know that I did not have a stylist for my wedding. And that I had paid for a hair and make-up trial that was meaningless. She offered to do another hair trial knowing that my family and friends were appalled. We finally decided enough was enough and called to get our deposit back, only to be told it was nonrefundable.
