If you're willing to travel south a bit I love my vet in Des Moines. I've taken my dogs and cat to Des Moines Veterinary Hospital for 12 years. Parking can be difficult and sometimes the wait can be long but it's been worth it to me. When my 10-year-old dog couldn't keep ANY food down Dr Conger found the problem and with medicine and special food my dog is now 14 and going strong! I've also had an arthritic cattle dog and a blind-in-one-eye aussie shepherd that she's cared for. Dr Onoratti (sp?) also has his practice at this hospital and in the waiting room I've talked to his clients who've had nothing but good things to say.
They're located on Pacific Highway a bit south of 216th, not in downtown Des Moines.
