Review content:
O.k., I gave this school a chance because it was local and I initially felt good about dealing with them and they were local. But after TRYING to get lessons scheduled for my son, I quit using them. After being with them for over a month, my son only got THREE lessons out of them because they were so overbooked. They did teach him some basics, but after six hours of lessons, he was still pretty shaky, but when I found another company that was reputable to give my son lessons, they gave him THREE lessons in one week. The last straw with AVUS was when after almost TWO weeks without a lesson from them they canceled one of the lessons with no reason given. Then, the instructor called my son back and said he could do the lesson and would pick him up at 5 at our house. Well, guess what, the instructor never showed. My son missed an HOUR of work as did my husband who took off early to take him home. Also, I found out after the three lessons my son did receive, they had not taught him how to park a car. I also found out they do not teach you Freeway driving either unless you sign up for it at an additional cost. Outrageous. When you sign up for driving lessons, it should include EVERYTHING. When my son does test for his license and pass, it won't be because of AVUS, it will be because of his new instructor. Also, they HAVE NOT refunded me ANY of the money from the lessons I paid into. DO NOT use AVUS at ALL COST.
