This was my second time to use Advanced Wood Floors (first time was a year ago to repair a section and refinish, second time was tear out and install). It took me a while to commit to this recent job because the sales guy, Emmanuel, did not return my phone calls on 2 occasions. Also, he had promised me the same guys who did the previous work would be available, and then they were not available in my time frame once i committed to the job. The process of refinishing wood floors is messy, loud, smelly, a BIG hassle. It is important to remind the customer what is involved, to prepare for the experience. My floor looks great but I was totally unprepared for the huge amount of powdery dust involved in tearing out the old brick floor. This dust went all over my daughter's bed, pillows, everything in her room due to the way the guys had taped the plastic sheeting.(the work was being done in an adjacent room which I had totally emptied out, dust was everywhere in the house). And they knocked a hole in the sheet rock in a hallway. Both situations were attended to by AWF, but only after I brought it to their attention. It took 2 days of waiting around for the repair guy to fix the hole in the wall, no call to me to say he wasn't coming at the scheduled time. He said his phone wasn't working and he had to go pay for it.
