Basically, we were looking for a moving company for our move from Pleasanton to San Ramon. By chance, Waters Moving had sent us an ad in the mail about their company. The thing that caught my eye and made me pick up the phone to call them was the fact that they also are an auction company too. I think that feature is really awesome and don't know anyone else who offers that service. I called and Doug, who is so nice and courteous, told me all about their moving and auction service. Basically, they'd get rid of the furniture and stuff you didn't want to take with you and pay you for it, just like a garage sale except better because they do all of the work for you. Weeding out your furniture can be so stressful to deal with, so I was ready to try this out. I am so happy that I tried it out, I ended up getting $200 for my stuff! I think that Doug really represents the company very well. He does a great job as the liaison for the moving side and the auction side of the business. He really promoted the company and wasn't a hard-sell or anything. Unfortunately, I never got to meet him personally, but he is great over the phone. As far as the movers from Waters, they were on time, very nice, hard-working, smooth and professional. I would love to really thank and compliment the crew that moved me, they were awesome! I feel from A to Z, it was a clean move. Doug even called me up a few months later to check in, even though I never met the guy! He has great follow through, even my doctor doesn't do that! We noticed after the move, that we were missing a workout weight. We were sure that we had moved it with us. We looked through everything and couldn't find it anywhere. Then there was a miscommunication and they thought they'd found it for me, but they hadn't. It was like the ball was almost dropped, but Doug picked it up and handled the problem and really took care of me. He completely took my word for it. He reimbursed me for the missing weight and totally did not make a big deal out of it. In all seriousness, Doug should get credit for this whole enchilada! I would definitely use them again and highly recommend their services. They are really great people, and they provide great customer service, plus it's a family-owned business. If anybody is happy, it's me! April Fink
