I decided to order my wedding cake from Cakes by Judi after a friend recommended it. I first communicated with them via email, which was a great experience - fast, helpful and friendly answers.
Setting up an appointment was easy, and Judi was wonderful helping us pick out a cake. She's a wonderful lady! After we picked out our flavors, Judi disappeared into the back to get us a sample to take home - and she came back with a frosted mini cake and a tube of our filling, which both tasted absolutely wonderful!
We had the cake picked up without problems, and it tasted great, just like the sample. Super moist and the icing and filling were both delicious. The cake looked nice - while the frosting wasn't applied too smoothly (you could see a lot of spatula marks) and the piping around the bases of the layers was a little uneven (and it overlapped where the ends met instead of being smoothed out), it looked pretty overall, and was what we wanted.
All in all, I'd definitely recommend Cakes by Judi, they have great prices, wonderful cakes and the staff is super nice.
