Review content:
Essentially, I had an older garage door and opener at my home, and the bottom planks had started to separate from the remainder of the garage. I called Smarr Garage Door and they were able to come out the same day. Even though they couldn't replace the door immediately, as they had to order everything for it, they did do a temporary fix without charging anything to come out or for the fix itself. I was able to sign all the paper work right then. I didn't have to go to the store and do it. They told me upfront that my door opener was old and that they would have to replace it to comply with government regulations, as they could not legally put the new door on without the safety sensors a new opener has. I did not have to put down a deposit, and there were no upfront costs. I ordered everything right there with them, and probably no later than a week later everything was ready. The permanent fix went well. It ended up being more than I expected, but it was nothing they did. They actually ended up giving me a more expensive door, but for a less expensive price. They had it in storage and wanted to clear their inventory, so they reduced the price. It is a lot less noisy than the door I had, and it is also insulated. When they were tearing down the frame, they did notice some termite damage. They called the office, then they called me, and then they called the owner to have him look at the damage. He assessed how much needed to be replaced and gave me some options. I wanted to makes sure it would be functional, and that I wouldn't have to replace it six months later, so I asked him what he would do in my situation, and that's what I had him do. Obviously we needed lumber, so I asked how much the total cost would be, agreed with the price, and they got the lumber and finished everything that day. All I had to do was go home and inspect the work, sign the paperwork, and pass them a check. Everything works perfectly. The sensors work well too. I've had no issues since I've gotten the new door, so I definitely think Smarr Garage Door is a 5.
