My husband and I were visiting from Phoenix and went to Sha Boom's with our daughter and a group of other married couples. The problem began with the security doorman not approving of my husband's dress shoes and refused to let us in. He was very rude and made a spectacle and did not care we were visiting from another state. Ultimately, our daughter had to drive around so we could go and by approved dress shoes (no rubber soles). When we returned, it was a pat done and pant lifting checking socks for weapons. Again, further humiliation and treated like a criminal. As a respected 67 yr old business couple, I doubt we posed a threat. Of course no owner (George Karpathy) or manager available. We will NEVER go there again, no matter how good a time we had with our daughter's friends. Pass the message that we are never treated this way in the Scottsdale nightclubs and the cover is half the price and better ambience.
