After 5 quotes for installation of a chimney liner, I picked Elite Chimney & Masonry in Elmhurst because Lenny the owner, offered the best price on a stainless steel liner with installation and roto-whip deglazing to remove creosote buildup inside the flue. Other companies wanted to skip the roto-deglazing step (it is hard work) or if it was included their price was a lot higher.
I found Lenny to be honest; when I asked for a new cast iron plate for a throat damper he ordered it right out of the catalog almost at cost, and added only a minimum charge for installation. Technicians from the other companies told me they can not get me one, and wanted to sell me a lock-up or seal tight damper at substantial cost. When I okayed the job, I gave Lenny only 3 days notice to order what was needed and that wasn’t enough time for the delivery of the liner. Rather than postponing the job, he was able to keep our agreed date and brought with him a “Ventinox” liner at no extra cost. In addition, I purchased a high quality stainless steel cap without the huge markup.
I highly recommend this company for their products and services at a very reasonable price. I’m very happy with the work especially the roto-cleaning, the flue looked like new. If you want high quality products and outstanding work with warranty at reasonable price contact this company, or you can use other companies that want to cut corners, markup their products and charge you more.
