Review content:
I dealt with the Daltile PA store # 64. First let me say John (contractor rep) and Paul ( the store manager) were two of the most unprofessional folks I have ever dealt with in any industry or business period. I'd love to be able to provide you with their last names but neither of them would give it to me. I purchased 30 boxes of natural stone from them to do a bathroom a while ago. There was a delay in getting the installation done due to finances. The tile was stored in a air conditioned space in the unfinished bathroom. When I final,y got the funds to get the work done we went in and opened the boxes to find the stone had started deteriorating and rusting from the inside out. I went to the store to deal with it under the 5 year warrantee specified on their website and was told the return policy is 30 days. I explained I wasn't returning I was making a warrantee claim to which they preceeded to tell me they didn't have a warrantee. After I pulled it up on their site for them they then told me that natural stone isn't covered because I was "Going to" install it in a wet area (mind you it wasn't installed in a wet area yet). I them showed them their site again where it stated the product was approved for wet areas, to which they they then changed their story again and stated because it wasn't installed it doesn't qualify for the warrantee (the same warrantee they a originally didn't offer). My complaint is now into the VP of operations, next stop will be the better business bureau, and if that doesn't work to small claims court. This is a classic example of a company not taking corporate responsibility and trying to push around the little guy. I guarantee if I was a large contractor that bought frequently from them it would be a whole different story. Save yourself the headache and deal with a company that offers a quality product and stand behind it.
