Review content:
The Black Cow is a nice contrast to the generic Starbucks that populate most towns in the US. They roast their own coffee (22 differenet nlends, I beleiev) and offer a devent selection of bagels, pastries and cookies as accompaniment.
About a year ago, the owners gave the place a new paintjob and re-did the signage and storefront window, sprucing it up quite a bit.
The place is always busy and there's never a rush to leave the comfy chairs and couch. I've often sat with a magazine while the kids grabbed some books and sipped their non-coffee "calf whip" - a blended iced hot chocolate drink.
It's a very popular hangout and easy to get to - definitely worth a visit if you're anywhere in the area.
