Review content:
Willamette Writers is a traditional writer's group in Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1965, it is a non-profit group that is the largest writer's organization in Oregon, and one of the largest in the United States. There are monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of every month, and a speaker is usually featured for education about the writing world. There is a Young Willamette group for kids from grades 5 through 10, and it's free for kids who love to write. An annual conference is sponsored by Willamette Writers, and it is an amazing event. One feature of the conference is the Kay Snow Award, which has an annual deadline of May 15. The office manager of Willamette Writers is Bill Johnson, Portland author of A Story is a Promise. Call him up and chat about writing, membership, meetings, and events.
