After One Year, Had to call Health Dept. to fix a major ceiling collapse. CA/ Dave Paola, ignored any requests to fix a ceiling that collapsed twice. CA Properties was found in violation of Several Codes by the Health Dept!!! Most apartments in the Friendship ave. location (Bloomfield) have Major water leaks/water damage. This will not be fixed and the plumbing will become your responsibility as well. You are a financial number, not a tenant. Do not expect to be treated as a human! Beyond CA Properties not making any repairs, even to major issues, is their ability to organize your rent check. First I noticed, that it would take at times, weeks upon weeks for a rent check to be deposited. Twice they attempted to state that rent was not sent, best part being; they decided to say this for the first time several months later, accruing late charges. Oddly, since I started sending my checks requiring written confirmation, this has suddenly stopped!!!!!!!!!!!!
And as for the abusive neighbors who will threaten you and damage property, whom multiple units have called the police, and one has even filed a harassment suit.... CA still allows him to be your neighbor! (This guy even placed a video camera strictly facing my door and threaten to damage my car... which has been damaged..)
So in conclusion, you think you found a good, cheap, deal? The keyword is cheap.
