Review content:
The Cenntinial Inn - Franklin Pierce Dining Room is the most elegantly appointed eating establishment in central New Hampshire. The dining room still displays cloth table cloths! The walls are dark, stained wainscot and pictures of New Hampshire's President Franklin Pierce and his wife adorn 2 spots on the walls. The food is excellent, I strongly recommend the beef tips with wild mushrooms. The most recent visit, October 2005, found a vastly expanded menu with probably 3 dozen entrées covering vegetarian needs with wild mushrooms to the seafood and steak devotee's desires. Service has always been a hallmark of the Cenntinial Inn - the servers have been mature, knowledgeable, and well appointed people. The last visit had 2 of the 3 people, who the public meet, not up to the standards I have come to expect here. The attire was out of place with the old New England dining room. Expect to spend well in excess of $50 here, $75 if wine or spirits are to be part of your meal. Still, I strongly recommend the Cenntinial Inn Franklin Pierce Dining Room for relaxed elegance and fine dining in central New Hampshire.
