Originally i went in to have my trans checked it was still driveable but slipped 2nd to 3rd gear..they said it was good i caught it in time and its going to cost me at most $1600..so they got into it..called back and said its worse then it looked and said its gonna over $2000 to fix...then another call came its gonna take a complete rebuild causing me to dish out $3300 and i had no choice in the matter to have them repair since i work 7 Days a Week and have no time to do it myself..4 days i later i get my jeep back seemed fine but dissapointed on the bill..went in 10 days later for follow up to make sure its all good..everything checked out fine. Now its been almost a month since the transmission has been done..on Monday i went threw a car wash and once i exited the vehicles engine light went on and i proceeded to drive and it seemd to feel like its starting off in a high gear so i pulled over immediately checked fluid seemed fine went to drive off..put it in gear and it took some rpms to jump in gear and it slammed in. So i drove back to AAMCO and left it with them and let them figure it out. Got a call back and was told there was water in the trans...they said they have no clue as to how it got in there. they asked if i submerged the vehicle in water and i told them we're in texas where am i gonna find that and they said from towing a boat and launching it and going in too far..i dont have a boat..so somehow someway water got in there..Well, since there was water in there they are not covering warranty on it..and somehow someway it got in there..i dunno if they left something out or missing or what but now im out a vehicle and over 3 grand for a trans that lasted me not even a month..SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT! I've called to AAMCO Corp. and spoke once to someone they said they'd get back to me..no response i left 3 more messages no call back..awaiting for a phone call or there is going to be some legal issue and bus. bureau Pros: NONE Cons: Dishonest?
