Review content:
Simon is famous for his sugar cookies and his party cakes (Two layers of pound cake with raspberry filling in the middle and covered with chocolate in a single serving piece for 60 cents) which I really love. I recently tried the party cake covered with icing made with real strawberries. I have found a new favorite!!! Whereas the chocolate cake overpowers the raspberry filling so much that you hardly realize you are eating any, the strawberry icing compliments it and therefore makes you happier. I would definitely recommend trying this version of the party cake.
They have all sorts of delicious looking pastries, pies, cakes, and other various bakery items priced fairly cheap! Their apple streudel looked soooo delicious, but I tried this almond pastry which was somewhat disappointing because I would have wanted some more almond filling rather than so much pastry. My sister and her fiance got a cupcake also which they seemed to thoroughly enjoy. What a really great place to buy some treats for yourself or for the family and help out a lovely small business!!!!!!!!!
Oh yea, I But anyway, the moral of the story is: party cakes are good!
