York Flowers, Inc. is located not far from the Friendship Heights metro and many other businesses on Wisconsin Avenue. They carry flowers (or can order) that are more difficult to find at other shops. The staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are a bit higher, but the flowers that I purchased, with the exception of a few gerbs, lasted much longer than other flowers I have purchased. For the help, quality, and selection, York is great.
