Review content:
I went to Stonewater because I've had Melasma for years and I was tired of living with it so I decided to finally seek treatment to get rid of it. There are several things I didn't like about this place. For one thing I never got to see an actual Dermatologist. They are all Estheticians except for the owners of the spa and they also tend to try to push alot of product on you too. (which makes me think that alot of their income must come from sales commissions) I had initially asked for laser treatments but they recommended I do a chemical peel instead so I followed their advice and went ahead with the peels and even though I didn't see much of a difference they kept reassuring me it would work so I continued with treatment and did everything exactly as they told me to. I had two strong peels one month apart, spent a total of over $1400 over a two month period between the peels and the skin care products with weeks of down time and NONE of it worked! What a waste of time and money and I have nothing to show for it now but a bunch of over priced products and I STILL have Melasma! Rather than offering me other treatment options they basically just shrugged their shoulders, sent me home and told me to keep using the skin care products I had purchased from them. After reading so many great reviews about Stonewater I really thought that I would be in great hands there but I am so disappointed with my experience with them on so many levels. I'm going to go see someone else entirely who is better qualified for laser treatments when I can afford it. (like a licensed board certified dermatologist) I can't help but feel like for them it was more about making money than actually trying to help me treat my Melasma. Yes the staff is all very friendly and nice but nice wont get you results! Never again.
