Review content:
What will it take for the Chapel Hill police and the UNC police to become more aggressive in fighting crime in Chapel Hill? You would think after the horrific murder of Eve Carson that they would CLEAN UP the town and campus. Today I have just read that two more robberies occurred last night on streets very close to campus. One was robbed after being assualted in the face, and another robbed at gun point on two students. I don't care what it costs. If they have to stop all construction on Campus North and use every cent towards cleaning that town up then they should do it. Franklin Street is disgusting looking with trash, homeless people on the sidewalks, and filth on benches, sidewalks and walls. It is a disgrace. If Rudy can clean up NYC, why in the heck can't the University and the city of Chapel Hill and Carrboro clean up their city and campus? Students are not safe on this campus. I would require a policeman on every single street 24/7 if that is what it will take to drive these addicts, vicious, hateful individuals that are hanging around this town and campus. Chapel Hill Police department needs some serious pressure put on them in order for them to take charge and make their community safe.
