What I love about Eddie's is it's inclusive spirit. While better known as a local watering hole with great music, it is also a great place to go for families with young children. My boys ages 5 and 2 love going to Eddie's. We sit next to the window and watch the trains go by and they are busy coloring with the crayons and big sheets of paper provided. They also enjoy pineapple juice sipped from a mason jar with colorful straws as they wait for their food- my toddler eats macaroni and cheese with grated cheese on top and my five year old eats a cheeseburger. As a tribute to their age, my kids without fail run around or scream or throw food on the floor or spill their juice. Instead of feeling shamed and uncomfortable, the locals at Eddie's give my kids a smile and the staff responds with grace. It's nice to share a pitcher of beer with my husband on a Friday night at Eddie's and to relax knowing that my kids can be kids and that they are a valuable part of the local experience, too!
