Review content:
Ok, we give points for trying here, but not many. Young performers in absolutely the worst costuming of this production I have ever seen. And a much too drawn out death scene - over the top.
Venice Theatre used to be really good fun and not bad drama when it was the "Little" Theatre, Sadly, over the years it has somehow become a theatre where casting seems to be from the same pool of favorites, possibly chosen because their kids take for acting classes there. This wouldn't be so bad if the prices weren't as much or more than the professional theatres in Sarasota, but is not worth the admission now charged.
If you go, don't expect much & you may find it enjoyable. But, really, for the money, if you want Genuine Theatre, go elsewhere.
