Businiess name:  Durable Fence Company
Review by:  Kristen H.
Review content:
(If I could give this company less than one star, I would). At approximately 9:45 am this morning a representative from this company showed up at my door and claimed he was here to measure for a fence. (I am getting a new fence, however his company is not the company I have contracted with.) He repeatedly insisted that he was called by a man and a woman to come to THIS address for a fence. When I asked who sent him, he told me didn't have a name. He told me he just memorized the address. I said "Is it standard practice when you head to a job to not have a name and/or contact number for who you are writing the estimate for?" This seemed fishy to me. His attitude was hostile as I pressed for more information. I was rattled by the way he was treating me and the way he addressed me. Throughout the course of this conversation--which probably last ten minutes--he continued to get more and more belligerent and angry with me. I felt bullied and threatened. He eventually consulted his cell phone where he rattled off a phone number that was unfamiliar to me. I suggested to him that I call that number to determine who was sending him to my house. He informed me that he would call the person. He called the number and said "Who is this?" He then said "You called me about a fence job at (insert my address)" (He has now stepped off my porch and is walking away from my house.) I then hear him say "Wait, what's the address?" He had the wrong address. It was a neighbor of mine who had called his company. He said nothing to me. No apology for his error OR his behavior. The entire time this man was on my porch, he was unprofessional, rude, condescending, bullying, and just plain mean. This clearly was HIS error and yet he bullied me to that point that when he finally left, I was physically sick. There are many elderly folks in my neighborhood. I would hate to think of one of them being treated like this by this man and the company he represents.
