The Pro's first: Next to Wickham Park, very clean, nice floor layout, nice staff, very nice neighbors, plenty of parking, and gas appliances (I forgot how much I loved to cook on a gas stove. Rent can also be paid online or auto withdrawn.
The Con's
1. Cable - They have a contract with Brighthouse. Its 75$ a month for cable + dvr. This does NOT include HD dvr box. You can not get ANY package deal through brighthouse or through the apartment complex and you can not use any other type of provider including satellite. Let me break this down for you:
Normal bundle through brighthouse: internet + cable + hd dvrbox + phone = $110 month Thru Beachway Links = $75 cable + internet + HD dvr box = $150 (no phone)
2. Maintenance – Took over a week to install rented washer/gas dryer from them. Washer was broken (the timer) and has taken another week, which still isn’t working. They appear to be in no hurry to repair a service that I am paying for. They have not offered a pro-rated refund for the time the appliances were not even installed or working.
3. Pests – An issue with fire ants with an nest under the bathtub. Initial treatment only caused them to swarm the closet and get into clothing. Pest control will not be out for another week so dealing with fire ants until then.
