Review content:
I went to this place strictly on the great reviews about Roberts Auto. I drive a 2002 VW Jetta. The first time I went here I loved the service. He told me his computer scannings were cheap. He had great prices and worked well with me. I am a student so I cant afford mechanic priced auto parts. So I usually go through a family-friend to get my quality auto parts at a cheaper price. He helped replace and install the fuel pump and the crank shaft sensor. The total price for service was 300 dollars. Kinda pricey considering I could have done it if I owned the proper tools. The car started working fine for a month. Then when it would idle, sometimes it would die. So I decided to go to Oreilley Auto Parts and the employee their scanned my computer for free! I got a code. I didnt want to rely on the free code so I went back to Roberts (because his scans were cheap, about 20 dollars is what he told me the first time over the phone). When I went to pick up my car, there was a 160 dollar bill waiting for me. This is more expensive than Emitch's VW Dealership (120$). Apparently he took apart the mass air flow sensor and "cleaned" it. Which did nothing to repair my car. On top of that I called him back to get the code that he received from the scan and the airflow rate. Stating "It is the Mass Air Flow Sensor Code" and "the airflow rate is not important to me". He kept cutting me off and wouldnt let me explain why I needed the information. Overall terrible service. He worked on my car and assumed I would pay for it when all I needed was a Scan that was "20$". Robert told my girlfriend that it would cost about 400 bucks to replace. I found the part for 120 and all I need is a screwdriver to replace it.
