My husband recently broke his favorite pair of sandals. He wasn't ready to part with them just yet so we decided to 'revive' them with a trip to a shoemaker. Not that easy to find these days. He remembered seeing Dr.John's, so I took his beloved shoes in. I guess I met the actual 'Dr. John', the place is what you expect a shoemakers to look like. The guy was very nice, the shoes were fixed for 10 dollars, and ready as promised on the day he said to pick them up. I would recommend them.
